Maya Simpkins (she/they) is a thoughtful liberator who uses deliberate invitation to incite/insight care and understanding. They have over a decade of experience fulfilling missions through strategic fundraising, relationship building, project management, and racial justice advocacy. Their strategic fundraising, relationship-building, and data management expertise have led to a strong track record of securing over $30M in institutional funding.

With a Master’s in Public Administration and a Bachelor’s in Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies and African American Studies, Maya brings a comprehensive understanding of social equity issues to their work. Their passion for innovation has led them to pursue certifications in Nonprofit Management from VCU, digital fundraising from NYU, and Digital Campaigning from Social Movement Technologies.

She currently lives in Baltimore, her seventh state, with her two dogs and partner. She reads, watches tv and films, and is just starting to get into video games, all for the storytelling.
