Reggie Jackson

Reggie Jackson, is an award winning journalist, a graduate of Concordia University, co-owner of Nurturing Diversity Partners and 2021 winner of the Carter G. Woodson Memorial Award from the National Education Association,  2015 winner of the Eliminating Racism Award from southeast Wisconsin’s YWCA and 2016 Courageous Love Award from the First Unitarian Society. He is the 2017 winner of the Frank P. Zeidler Public Service Award from the City of Milwaukee. He won the first ever MICAH Legacy Award in 2018. He and his business partner Dr. Fran Kaplan were awarded the Robert H. Friebert Social Justice Award from the Jewish Community Community Relations Council in 2018. In August 2016 he accepted a position as Community Relations Writer for the Milwaukee Independent. He was invited to be a contributing writer for the Huffington Post in October 2017. His column at the Milwaukee Independent won the 2017 Silver Award for best online column and 2018 Gold award for best online column and the Silver Award for best written column and 2019 Bronze Award for best online column and 2019 Bronze Award for best Investigative Story or Series from the Milwaukee Press Club. He is the 2019 winner of the Frank P Zeidler Legacy Award from the Frank Zeidler Center for Public Discussion. Reggie’s firm Nurturing Diversity Partners was a recipient of the first ever Milwaukee Magazine Unity Award in 2020. His 2020 podcast “By Every Measure” with Tarik Moody at 88Nine radio station won the 2020 Gold Award for Best podcast from the Milwaukee Press Club. Reggie has served as a race relations expert for ABC News Nightline, CNN, Wisconsin Public Radio, National Public Radio, Reuters News Service, the BBC and several statewide news channels and multiple additional international news platforms.
