Sumner Bright
Sumner Bright is originally from Portland, Maine, but is currently based in Brooklyn. He graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, paired with a dual major in Sustainability. Sumner is an energetic and passionate community organizer, digital coordinator, and musician.
While studying at The University of New Hampshire, Sumner was a cofounder and digital coordinator for a progressive grassroots organization called New Hampshire Youth Movement. During the 2020 Presidential Election, Sumner stepped into a community organizer role for a non-profit in rural eastern Maine called Food & Medicine. After spending the bulk of 2021 in the hospitality industry while doing digital freelancing work, Sumner moved to NYC to further pursue a career in advocacy work geared towards achieving environmental, economic, and social sustainability.
